Regular Season Round 17: Prudnik - Klodzko 84-62

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Prudnik (13-3) outleveled at home 8th ranked Klodzko (6-9) 84-62 on Saturday. They outrebounded Klodzko 40-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Prudnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) who scored 26 points and 4 assists. Tomasz Madziar (195-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Michal Weiss (188-82) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and center Oliwier Szczecina (198-3) added 5 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Prudnik. They maintain third place in Group D with 13-3 record behind leader Pleszew. Loser Klodzko dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Nysa and WKK 2. Prudnik will meet Stal Ostrow 2 (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Klodzko will play against Slask 3 (#4) and hope to secure a win.
