Another exciting game for Young Angels which played in Piestany against Piestanske C.. Young Angels upset home team edging them after exciting game by one point 75-74. Piestanske C. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Young Angels made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American guard Valerie Higgins (185-98, college: Pacific, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for the winners and her fellow American import center Channon Fluker (193-97, college: CSUN) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds. Young Angels' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Croatian point guard Matea Tadic (176-99) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals and American power forward Sarah Boothe (195-90, college: Stanford) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Young Angels will play against SKP 08 BB in Banska Bystrica in the next round. Piestanske C. will play on the road against MBK in Ruzomberok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
