Regular Season Round 15: Porrino - La Antigua 58-81

Rather predictable result when first ranked La Antigua (15-1) outscored on the road 3rd placed Porrino (12-4) 81-58 on Saturday. La Antigua dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Porrino's 22. La Antigua forced 25 Porrino turnovers. Strangely Porrino outrebounded La Antigua 40-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Kupaa Harrison (196-97, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Pedro de la Calle (185-91) helped adding 16 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was point guard Javier Cardito (176-93) with 18 points and point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for La Antigua. They maintain first place with 15-1 record. Loser Porrino keeps the third position with four games lost. La Antigua will meet at home Leon (#5) in the next round. Porrino will play against Claret in Segovia and hope to secure a win.
