Rather expected game when 6th ranked Handlova (7-10) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Lucenec (10-8) 103-78. Lucenec shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-96, college: Xavier) notched 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Jan Zorvan (201-95) supported him with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: SJSU, agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for Handlova. Roman Skvasik (193-96) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lucenec moved-up to third place, which they share with Spisski Rytieri. Handlova at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Lucenec will play against league's second-placed Komarno on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Handlova will play against Spisski Rytieri (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
