There was no surprise when 12th ranked Czeladz (4-13) was defeated at home by second ranked Tarn.Gory (14-3) 87-81 on Saturday. Tarn.Gory looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Tarn.Gory players scored in double figures. Point guard Artur Donerstag (180-91) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and center Marcin Wisniewski (204-91) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Czeladz's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tarn.Gory maintains second place in Group C with 14-3 record having just two point less than leader Pleszew, which they share with Bielsko-Biala. Newly promoted Czeladz keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Gliwice 2. Tarn.Gory will meet at home Gliwice 2 (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Czeladz will play against Korona and hope to secure a win.
