Rather predictable result when second ranked Liepaja (5-1) won against on the road 6th ranked Tukums (3-5) 85-71 on Saturday. Liepaja dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tukums' 26. Point guard Gustavs Jakubauskis (186-3) notched 42 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and guard Arturs Vucins (180-4) supported him with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Even 22 points and 5 assists by Artis Brigis did not help to save the game for Tukums. Juris Solovjovs added 15 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Liepaja have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-1 record behind leader Bertanu. Loser Tukums dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Riga/Jugla.
