Very expected game when bottom-ranked Marupe (0-3) was smashed at home by top-ranked Riga/BJBS (10-0) 135-28 on Saturday. Riga/BJBS held Marupe to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 52.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Riga/BJBS forced 58 Marupe turnovers and outrebounded them 52-33 including a 25-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 48 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Marupe's players. Forward Edvards Struza (198-3) notched 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and guard Aleksis Gaidamovics (182-3) supported him with 13 points, 20 assists and 10 steals.
