There was no surprise when 10th ranked Telstar (4-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Heffingen (9-6) 79-67 on Saturday. American forward Justin Strings (201-96, college: Sacramento St.) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Donte Nicholas (196-87, college: FPU) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Heffingen players scored in double figures. Heffingen's coach Daniel Brandao used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-94, college: Mary) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and American-Jamaican guard Prince Foster (193, college: Angelo St.) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Heffingen moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Arantia. Telstar lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Heffingen will meet Contern (#7) on the road in the next round. Telstar will play against the league's leader Residence and hope to secure a win.
