Regular Season Round 11: Tarbes - Charnay 62-41

Bottom-ranked Tarbes managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they outleveled eleventh-ranked Charnay 62-41. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference suggests that Tarbes is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Tarbes outrebounded Charnay 37-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Ana Tadic (197-98, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Clementine Samson (181-91) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tarbes players scored in double figures. Point guard Ewl Guennoc (175-1, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) responded with 3 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Zoe Wadoux (178-1, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) scored 11 points. Tarbes (3-8) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bretagne. Charnay lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Tarbes will play against league's second-placed Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Charnay will play on the road against Villeneuve D'Ascq (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
