Regular Season Round 15: Wroclaw - Poznan 86-81
Date: January 8, 2022
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Wroclaw (10-4) beat at home 9th ranked Poznan (2-11) 86-81. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Wroclaw outrebounded Poznan 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Patricia Bright (193-91, college: Oregon St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Julia Drop (174-95) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Chennedy Carter (170-98, college: Texas A&M) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wroclaw maintains third place with 10-4 record having just two point less than leader Lublin. Poznan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Torun. Wroclaw will play against league's second-placed Polkowice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Poznan will play against GTK Gdynia (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
