An interesting game for Basket Landes (8-3) which hosted in Mont de Marsan 4th placed Villeneuve D'Ascq (7-4). Third ranked Basket Landes managed to get a 13-point victory 77-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Villeneuve D'Ascq. Basket Landes made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Villeneuve D'Ascq 40-28 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Villeneuve D'Ascq helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Australian center Marianna Tolo (196-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Basket Landes are looking forward to face Tarbes (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Villeneuve D'Ascq will play against Charnay (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
