There was no surprise when 11th ranked Leganes (5-9) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Zaragoza (9-7) 80-75 on Sunday. Zaragoza made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American guard Sierra Calhoun (183-96, college: Rutgers) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Mali forward Aminata Sangare (186-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. American-U.S. Virgin Islands swingman Imani Tate (175-95, college: Albany) produced 20 points (made all of her seven free throws) and German guard Alina Hartmann (183-95, college: Colorado) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Zaragoza have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 9-7 record. Leganes lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost. Zaragoza are looking forward to face higher ranked Cadi La Seu (#4) in Seu D'urgell in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
