Regular Season Round 16: Rubon - Tsmoki II 62-56

Fourth defeat of league's leader Tsmoki II (12-4) against third ranked Rubon (11-5) 62-56 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-13. But Tsmoki II won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon forced 24 Tsmoki II turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (202-91) contributed with 4 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. International guard Daniil Barysevich (194-1) replied with 19 points and point guard Vadzim Tratsiak (185-0) added 10 points and 7 assists in the effort for Tsmoki II. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rubon maintains third position with 11-5 record behind leader Borisfen. Tsmoki II at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Borisfen. Tsmoki II will play next round against Tsmoki-Minsk U20 trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk - Tsmoki-Minsk U20. Rubon will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Impuls BGUIR in Minsk.
