Regular Season Round 15: Levallois - Roanne 92-93

Top ranked Metropolitans (12-2) recorded its second loss in Levallois on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by twelfth ranked Chorale de Roanne (7-8) 93-92. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Metropolitans. Chorale de Roanne forced 19 Metropolitans turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Loren Jackson (173-96, college: Akron) who scored 29 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import swingman Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American Keith Hornsby (192-92, college: LSU) who recorded 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Israeli Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Metropolitans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chorale de Roanne moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bourg. Metropolitans at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Chorale de Roanne is looking forward to face Provence Basket (#16) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Metropolitans will play on the road against Paris (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
