Regular Season Round 13: BDU Tsmoki - Gorizont 36-81

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Gorizont (#1) and BDU Tsmoki (#7). BDU Tsmoki was crushed at home by 45 points 36-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BDU Tsmoki to just 5 points in third quarter. Gorizont held BDU Tsmoki to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont forced 27 BDU Tsmoki turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by BDU Tsmoki's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Anastasiya Verameyenka (195-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international guard Natallia Anufryienka (174-85) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Gorizont's coach Nataliya Trafimava felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Aliaksandra Yakubovich (175-3) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Yana Borisevich (161-6) added 2 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BDU Tsmoki. Gorizont (13-0) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 13 victories in a row. BDU Tsmoki lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Brest. Gorizont's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Gorizont 2.
