Regular Season Round 16: Grodno GrSU - SDUSHOR 80-64

Bottom-ranked SDUSHOR is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to ninth ranked Grodno GrSU (4-11) 80-64 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno GrSU. SDUSHOR managed to win second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno GrSU forced 28 SDUSHOR turnovers. The winners were led by forward Dmitriy Naumenko (195-3) who scored that evening 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Evheniy Savostian (193-3) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Four Grodno GrSU players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by forward Mikhail Golubko (190-5) did not help to save the game for SDUSHOR. Forward Aleksandr Gogarev (202-4) added 1 points and 19 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Grodno GrSU moved-up to eighth place. Loser SDUSHOR still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Grodno GrSU will meet at home higher ranked Gomel (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SDUSHOR will play against Brest (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
