Regular Season Round 13: Thor AK - Tindastoll 91-103

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Tindastoll (7-5) beat bottom-ranked Thor AK (1-12) in Akureyri 103-91 on Monday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-91. Tindastoll looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Javon Bess (198-96, college: St.Louis) nailed 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winning side and British-Irish forward Taiwo Badmus (201-93, college: UVA Wise) accounted for 30 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Reggie Keely (204-91, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and Norwegian guard Bouna Ndiaye (198-92, college: NW Nazarene) added 32 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Thor AK in the defeat. Four Thor AK players scored in double figures. Thor AK's coach Bjarki Oddsson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Tindastoll went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Grindavik. Loser Thor AK stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Tindastoll will meet Breidablik (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Thor AK will play against Vestri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
