Regular Season Round 24: Koping Stars - Boras 95-94

The most exciting game of round 24 in the Basketligan took place in Koping. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Boras Basket (10-10) to eighth ranked Koping Stars (6-14) 95-94 on Tuesday evening. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Giles (198-98, college: UMKC, agency: One Motive Sports) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import power forward Dominic Robb (203-96, college: Niagara) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international William Gutenius (206-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-93, college: Harvard) added 25 points respectively. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Koping Stars maintains eighth position with 6-14 record. Boras Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Koping Stars are looking forward to face league's second-placed KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Boras Basket will play at home against SBBK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
