Very predictable result when fourth ranked Russian Rostov (4-1) beat on the road 9th ranked Czech SBS Ostrava (1-3) 73-57 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to SBS Ostrava's 24. They outrebounded SBS Ostrava 53-30 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Iuliia Grabovskaia (190-1) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and center Ekaterina Osipova (187-97) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Slovakian Stella Tarkovicova (180-99) responded with 21 points and 4 steals and Slovakian center Sona Svetlikova (184-99) scored 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rostov keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Samara. SBS Ostrava lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with three games lost.
