Regular Season Round 18: Tychy - Krakow 84-99

The most important game in the last round took place in Tychy between third ranked Tychy (12-5) and seventh ranked Krakow (9-8) on Wednesday night. Tychy was defeated by Krakow at home 99-84. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Krakow looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by Tychy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Wojciech Fras (202-91) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Szymon Pawlak (192-98) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) with 21 points and 8 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Krystian Tyszka (198-98) scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Krakow moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lublin 2. Tychy at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Opole. Krakow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tychy will play on the road against Zak (#11) in Koszalin and is hoping to win this game.
