Regular Season Round 10: Templeogue - Moycullen 71-68

Sixth-ranked Moycullen (2-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Templeogue (6-5) in Dublin on Saturday. Templeogue managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Moycullen. Templeogue dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Moycullen's 14. The former international center Jason Killeen (210-85, college: Augusta) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Lorcan Murphy (182-94) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Grant Olsson (194-95, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: IceBasket) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Kyle Cunningham (193-97) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Templeogue have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Maree. Loser Moycullen keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Templeogue will meet Maree (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Moycullen will play against Star and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
