Regular Season Round 15: Kvarner 2010 - Samobor 92-70

There was no surprise in Rijeka where 9th ranked Samobor (4-10) was crushed by fifth ranked Kvarner 2010 (9-5) 92-70 on Saturday. Kvarner 2010 forced 19 Samobor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) who scored 15 points and 5 assists. Forward Jasmin Perkovic (206-80) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Kvarner 2010 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jaksa Sola (201-99) who recorded 20 points and forward Nikola Ivankovic (-99) added 5 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Kvarner 2010 maintains fifth place with 9-5 record. Samobor at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Kvarner 2010 are looking forward to face Jazine (#8) in Zadar in the next round. Samobor will play at home against Omis-Cagalj T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
