Regular Season Round 16: Molina - UAF Lucentum 69-75

There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Molina (7-7) lost at home to sixth ranked UAF Lucentum (4-9) 75-69 on Saturday. The winners were led by forward Juan Verdu (202-0) who scored that evening 13 points and 8 rebounds and Carlos Velazquez (186-2) supported him with 13 points and 6 assists. Five UAF Lucentum players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Francisco Garrido (197-0) did not help to save the game for Molina. Javier Velasco (-1) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UAF Lucentum maintains sixth position in Group E-C with 4-9 record. Newly promoted Molina keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Begastri. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
