Regular Season Round 16: Pesaro - Milano 85-82
Date: January 16, 2022
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Milano (13-2) on the court of thirteenth ranked Pesaro on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Pesaro 85-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Milano. Pesaro made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tyrique Jones (206-97, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and the former international guard Matteo Tambone (192-94) who added 21 points (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Devon Hall (196-95, college: Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 15 points and his fellow American import guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Five Pesaro and four Milano players scored in double figures. Milano's coach Ettore Messina tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pesaro (6-8) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Treviso. Milano at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Pesaro is looking forward to face higher ranked Trieste (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Milano will play against Treviso and is hoping to win this game.
