Very predictable result when second ranked Segle XXI (11-3) won against 13th ranked Distrito Olimpico (1-12) in Madrid 65-59 on Sunday. Segle XXI forced 23 Distrito Olimpico turnovers. Point guard Elena Buenavida (174-4) notched 22 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Marina Asensio (-4) supported her with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 12 points and 7 rebounds by Paula Nieves did not help to save the game for Distrito Olimpico. Maria Lopez (-1) added 15 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Segle XXI keeps a position of Group B leader, which they share with Viladecans. Distrito Olimpico lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Marratxi.
