The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Gorizont (#1) and Gorizont 2 (#6). Gorizont 2 was smashed at home by 46 points 42-88 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gorizont 2 to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They held Gorizont 2 to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 52.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Gorizont 2 58-28 including a 42-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Gorizont 2's players. The former international center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Palina Kastsiukavets (178-4) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Forward Aleksandra Chyzhevskaya (185-2) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Aleksandra Shumeiko (170-1) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorizont (14-0) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 14 victories in a row. Gorizont 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Gorizont are looking forward to face Gomel (#5) on the road in the next round. Gorizont 2 will play against Olimpia and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
