Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked Monopoli AN (5-10) won against on the road bottom-ranked Formia (0-15) 85-73 on Sunday. Monopoli AN made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Giovanni Laquintana (187-91) who led the winners and scored 25 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Matteo Annese (200-95) accounted for 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Monopoli AN players scored in double figures. Power forward Niccolo Lurini (198-0, agency: Players Group) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Croatian swingman Armin Mazic (199-93) added 21 points and 7 assists respectively for Formia in the defeat. Monopoli AN moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. Formia lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost.
