Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Cd'Orlando (4-9) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Trapani (6-7) 83-78 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Cd'Orlando outrebounded Trapani 49-35 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Sekou Wiggs (193-94, college: Alaska-Anch., agency: Slash Sports) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Federico Massone (191-98) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Tevin Mack (198-97, college: Clemson) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Nick King (201-95, college: MTSU) added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trapani maintains eighth place in A2 with 6-7 record. Loser Cd'Orlando keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Trapani will meet Mantova (#11) in the next round. Cd'Orlando will play against Milano Urania and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
