Regular Season Round 15: Kongsberg - Gimle BBK 86-77

The biggest surprise took place in Kongsberg where host Kongsberg (10-5) beat league's leader Gimle BBK (14-3) 86-77 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. They outrebounded Gimle BBK 46-30 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 31 personal fouls committed by Gimle BBK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Aly Hudgins (201-93, college: ECU) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Croatian Marin Mornar (205-93, college: LMU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Jorgen Odfjell (197-0) who recorded 22 points and American forward Bryan Coleman (198-92, college: WSU) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Kongsberg and four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Kongsberg moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Gimle BBK dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Froya Basket. Gimle BBK will play next round against league's leader Froya Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kongsberg will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Froya Basket in Laksevag.
