Regular Season Round 15: Froya Basket - Baerum Basket 87-75

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Froya Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Froya Basket defeated 4th placed Baerum Basket in Laksevag 87-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Baerum Basket. Strangely Baerum Basket outrebounded Froya Basket 36-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American Wayne Stewart Jr (201, college: A&M-Commerce) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Cam Gregory (203-95, college: Loyola, MD) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Froya Basket players scored in double figures. The former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-89) answered with 32 points and 6 assists and the former international forward Sjur Dyb Berg (201-96, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 11 points and 20 rebounds in the effort for Baerum Basket. Froya Basket (15-3) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Baerum Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Baerum Basket will play next round against Ammerud Bskt trying to get back on the winning streak. Froya Basket will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Gimle BBK at Bergen.
