No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Corazon (10-3) crushed 6th ranked Real Betis 2 (6-7) in Sevilla 102-68 on Sunday. Corazon dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Real Betis 2's 34. Corazon forced 22 Real Betis 2 turnovers. The winners were led by Mario Linde (-2) who scored that evening 32 points and 6 rebounds and Greek power forward Andreas Tsoumanis (202-1) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Even 24 points by power forward Luis Garcia (204-4) did not help to save the game for Real Betis 2. Demba Sheriff (-4) added 10 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Corazon have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group D-B, which they share with Huelva Com. Loser Real Betis 2 dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Torta del Casar and Badajoz. Corazon will meet at home CBSFDO (#4) in the next round. Real Betis 2 will play against Xerez in Jerez de la Frontera and hope to secure a win.
