The game in Minsk supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Gomel (5-9) played at the court of 7th ranked BDU Tsmoki (1-12). Gomel did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 75-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Gomel. BDU Tsmoki managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Gomel forced 24 BDU Tsmoki turnovers and had a 38-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Daria Panasyuk (176-96) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Elizaveta Prishepova (155-5) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Aliaksandra Yakubovich (175-3) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gomel maintains fifth position with 5-9 record. BDU Tsmoki lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Brest. Gomel will meet at home league's leader Gorizont in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BDU Tsmoki will play against Victoria (#4) in Grodno and hope to win that game.
