Regular Season Round 16: Ourense - Obradoiro S. 77-75

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Ourense (7-9) edged at home higher ranked Obradoiro S. (11-5) 77-75 on Sunday. The winners were led by Ivorian guard Lionel Kouadio (191-1) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and guard Josep Cera (187-3) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by Sergi Huguet (194-2) did not help to save the game for Obradoiro S.. Point guard Miguel Souto (180-2) added 14 points for lost side. Four Obradoiro S. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ourense have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place in Group D-A. Loser Obradoiro S. keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Ourense will meet higher ranked La Flecha (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Obradoiro S. will play against Avila (#11) and hope to secure a win.
