No shocking result in a game when third ranked Salerno (11-4) crushed on the road 11th ranked Molfetta (6-9) 100-73 on Sunday. Salerno made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Salerno outrebounded Molfetta 36-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SLN) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Antongiulio Bonaccorso (196-97) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Salerno's coach Giampaolo Di Lorenzo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guido Scali (195-98, agency: SLN) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Matteo Bini (201-94) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Molfetta in the defeat.
