Regular Season Round 17: H.Izrael - M.Ma'ale Adum. 62-90

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked M.Ma'ale Adum. (6-9) crushed 10th ranked H.Izrael (5-9) in Nazareth 90-62 on Tuesday. M.Ma'ale Adum. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to H.Izrael's 28. M.Ma'ale Adum. forced 21 H.Izrael turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by H.Izrael's players. American guard Keith Braxton (196-97, college: SFU) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and point guard Yonatan Rabinowitz (188-98) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five M.Ma'ale Adum. players scored in double figures. Rom Cornelius (197-93) came up with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tomer Asayag (190-99) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for H.Izrael in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. M.Ma'ale Adum. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with M.Raanana. H.Izrael at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. M.Ma'ale Adum. will meet at home higher ranked E.Kiryat Ata (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Izrael will play against the league's leader I.Nahariya (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
