Regular Season Round 15: Widzew - Gorzow Wlkp. II 73-43

Leader Widzew recorded the thirteenth victory. This time they crushed 10th ranked Gorzow Wlkp. II (4-12) 73-43 in Lodz. Widzew forced 36 Gorzow Wlkp. II turnovers. It was a good game for Wiktoria Stepien (176-0) who led her team to a victory with 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. The former international forward Ewelina Gala (185-90) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Widzew's coach Anna Chodera felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Daria Ryzinska (184-3) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and center Maja Kozlowska (186-3) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Gorzow Wlkp. II. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Widzew. They maintain first place in Group B with 13-2 record. Gorzow Wlkp. II at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Widzew will play against Wisla Krakow (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Gorzow Wlkp. II will have a break next round.
