No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Nokia (8-9) smashed at home 11th ranked Bisons (5-13) 101-62 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Nokia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Nokia outrebounded Bisons 38-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Nokia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Kahron Ross (180-95, college: Lehigh, agency: One Motive Sports) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Puerto Rican power forward Arnaldo Toro (203-97, college: St.John's) chipped in 9 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Nokia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Guamanian power forward Jonathan Galloway (209-96, college: UC Irvine) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Thomas Vehmanen (180-0) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Bisons' coach Darko Mihajlovic already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Nokia maintains sixth position with 8-9 record, which they share with Pyrinto. Newly promoted Bisons keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Nokia will meet bottom-ranked Korihait (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Bisons will play against KTP Basket in Kotka and hope to secure a win.
