Regular Season Round 13: Cd'Orlando - Piacenza 68-66

A very close game took place in Capo d'Orlando between Cd'Orlando and Piacenza. Twelfth ranked Cd'Orlando (4-9) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Piacenza (8-5). Cd'Orlando managed to escape with a 2-point win 68-66 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Cd'Orlando forced 21 Piacenza turnovers. American forward Nick King (201-95, college: MTSU) fired 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Tevin Mack (198-97, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Gabe DeVoe (191-95, college: Clemson) produced 22 points and 9 assists and center Tommaso Guariglia (205-97, agency: SLN) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Piacenza's coach Stefano Salieri rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cd'Orlando maintains twelfth place in A2 with 4-9 record. Loser Piacenza keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Cd'Orlando will meet at home higher ranked Milano Urania (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Piacenza will play against Pistoia (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
