Very predictable result when fourth ranked Lleida (10-3) rolled over at home 14th ranked Girona (5-9) 86-65. It was a great evening for Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Global Sports Basketball) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Miguel Gonzalez (201-99) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Josep Franch (192-91) with 10 points and forward Gerard Sevillano (196-94, agency: Global Sports Basketball) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Girona's coach Carles Marco gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Lleida have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Girona keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Lleida will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Girona will play on the road against the league's leader Estudiantes (#1) in Madrid and hopes to get back on the winning track.
