Regular Season Round 17: Chalons-Reims - Gravelines 98-87

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Chalons-Reims (8-7) defeated at home 14th ranked Gravelines (4-11) 98-87 on Friday. Chalons-Reims forced 20 Gravelines turnovers and had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Maxime Semelet (199-2) nailed 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Kameronn Selebangue (190-4) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Chalons-Reims' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ousmane Gueye (203-1, college: Union, TN) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Zati Loubaki (200-4) added 21 points respectively for Gravelines in the defeat. Five Chalons-Reims and four Gravelines players scored in double figures. Chalons-Reims maintains eighth place with 8-7 record. Gravelines lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Chalons-Reims will meet Roanne (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gravelines will play against Limoges CSP and hope to secure a win.
