Regular Season Round 17: Navas - Palma AE 92-54

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Palma AE (1-11) was outplayed on the road by sixth ranked Navas (8-4) 92-54 on Saturday. Navas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Palma AE's 28. They outrebounded Palma AE 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. Navas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Palma AE's players. The best player for the winners was Serigne Niang (-1) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Albert Planell (-2) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Navas' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Miguel Corbacho (192-79) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese Moustapha Diallo (-1) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Navas moved-up to fifth place in Group C-3. Palma AE lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Navas will meet Artes (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Palma AE will play against Azulejos and hope to win that game.
