There was an upset when higher ranked Celta Zorka (9-9) lost to twelfth ranked Al-Qazeres (6-11) in Caceres 47-54 on Saturday. Al-Qazeres forced 20 Celta Zorka turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American-Jamaican guard Crystal Primm (180-97, college: FAU) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Concepcion Sanchez (-0) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Nigerian center Murjanatu Musa (187-0) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds and Haitian swingman Jessica Fequiere (180-93, college: Albany) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Celta Zorka in the defeat. Al-Qazeres moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Celta Zorka dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Lima-Horta. Al-Qazeres will meet bottom-ranked Maresme (#16) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Celta Zorka will play against Estepona (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
