Regular Season Round 19: Polonia Bytom - Tarnow 110-70

2Liga top team - Polonia Bytom (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Tarnow (1-18) 110-70. Polonia Bytom forced 25 Tarnow turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tarnow's players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Power forward Konrad Tabor (196-95) answered with 15 points and point guard Andrzej Schabowski (185-2) added 10 points in the effort for Tarnow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Polonia Bytom have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Tarnow lost seventeenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. Polonia Bytom are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tarn.Gory in Tarnowskie Gory in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tarnow will play at home against Przemysl (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
