Regular Season Round 16: Dubrovnik - Amphora 102-65

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Dubrovnik (9-4) crushed at home 11th ranked Amphora (2-11) 102-65 on Saturday. Dubrovnik dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Amphora's 28. Dubrovnik forced 20 Amphora turnovers and outrebounded them 48-28 including a 18-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Amphora's players. The winners were led by Filip Vujicic (195-0) who scored that evening 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Petar Dubelj (196-97) supported him with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Dubrovnik players scored in double figures. Dubrovnik's coach Darko Kunce felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 24 points by forward Antonio Santic (200-3) did not help to save the game for Amphora. American point guard Donald Morris (180-93) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Dubrovnik have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Amphora lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Dubrovnik will meet higher ranked Kastela (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Amphora will play against the league's second-placed Dinamo (#2) in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
