Regular Season Round 20: Lancut - Pelplin 86-80

1Liga top team - Sokol (17-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Pelplin (7-12) in Lancut 86-80. Sokol looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Przemyslaw Wrona (205-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Marcin Nowakowski (184-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists for the winners. Point guard Mateusz Kaszowski (181-1) replied with 20 points and Damian Szczepanik (198-97) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Pelplin. Five Sokol and four Pelplin players scored in double figures. Pelplin's coach Marcin Radomski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-2 record. Pelplin at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Dziki Wwa. Sokol are looking forward to face Krosno (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pelplin will play against Tychy and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
