The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked PAOK's (4-7) road loss to eighth ranked AEK (6-6) 67-72. PAOK was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 25-10 third quarter run of AEK. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. American center Marvin Jones (213-93, college: Texas Southern, agency: Network Sports International) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Vaggelis Mantzaris (194-90) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for PAOK in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. AEK moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Peristeri. PAOK at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Larissa BC. AEK will play against Apollon P. (#11) in Patra in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PAOK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena Iraklis.
