There was no surprise when 10th ranked Cimbis (4-10) was defeated at home by second ranked Huelva Com. (11-3) 67-56 on Saturday. Huelva Com. forced 20 Cimbis turnovers and had a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Andres Tejada (195-98) who scored 3 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Alvaro Garcia (193-0) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Pedro Ortega (200-92) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and Carlos Goicoechea (-3) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Huelva Com. maintains second place in Group D-B with 11-3 record behind leader Lliria, which they share with Corazon. Newly promoted Cimbis keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Portuense. Huelva Com. will meet at home Corazon (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cimbis will play against Torta del Casar (#7) in Caceres and hope to secure a win.
