Regular Season Round 15: Albacete - Mollet 80-71

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Mollet (8-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Albacete (10-4) 80-71 on Saturday. Albacete outrebounded Mollet 50-38 including 37 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Will Moreton (198-97, college: Stonehill, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Jorge Mejias (188-1, college: TAMIU) helped adding 6 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Ignasi Belver (197-94) with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Dominican guard Yeikson Montero (196-96, college: EMU) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Albacete maintains third place in Silver with 10-4 record behind leader Zornotza. Newly promoted Mollet dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Albacete will meet Villarrobledo (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mollet will play against Alginet (#12) and hope to secure a win.
