The biggest surprise took place in Biella where host Biella (3-10) edged league's leader Udine (11-3) 83-82 on Sunday evening. Biella looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Steven Davis (203-93, college: Wright St., agency: Players Group) who scored 30 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. American Trevor Lacey (191-91, college: NC State) produced 17 points and guard Marco Giuri (196-88) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Four Udine players scored in double figures. Udine's coach Matteo Boniciolli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Biella maintains thirteenth position in A2 with 3-10 record. Udine at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Cantu who have the same record. Udine will play next round against Treviglio trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Biella will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Cd'Orlando in Capo d'Orlando.
