Seventeenth-ranked Turow (2-16) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Tychy (13-6) in Zgorzelec on Sunday. The visitors from Tychy managed to secure only two-point victory 100-98. However their fans expected much easier game. Tychy made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The winners were led by point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) who scored that evening 23 points and 4 assists and forward Patryk Stankowski (194-0) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists by point guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) did not help to save the game for Turow. Bartosz Bochno (193-88, agency: BIG) added 17 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Four Tychy and five Turow players scored in double figures. Turow's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tychy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Opole. Newly promoted Turow stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Tychy will meet Pelplin (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turow will have a break next round.
